95    Mr Mwila (Mufulira)    -    to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:

(a)    whether the Government is aware that there is a critical shortage of water in Kawama West Township in Mufulira Parliamentary Constituency, thereby compelling the residents to depend on unclean water from the nearby stream; and

(b)    if so, what urgent measures are being taken to ensure that the residents are supplied  with clean water to avert water borne diseases.

Death of Mr Levy Mkandawire, MP: That this House do place on record its deepest regret at the death of Mr Levy Mkandawire, Member of Parliament for Kabwata Parliamentary Constituency, together with its appreciation of his distinguished and patriotic service to the country and the people of Zambia, and that the deepest sympathies and condolences of the National Assembly be conveyed to his family.
