(a) when the rehabilitation of the Katete - Chanida road will commence;

 

(b) what the cause of the delay in commencing the project is; 

 

(c) who the contractor for the project is;

 

(d) how much money was paid to the contractor as of January, 2021; and

 

(e) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.

 

 

 

W17. Mr Lufuma (Kabompo) - to ask the Minister of Higher Education:

 

(a) how much money was owed to the employees of the University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University in the following categories, as of July, 2020:

 

(i) salary arrears;

 

(ii) gratuities; and

 

(iii) other benefits;

 

(b) what measures are being taken to liquidate the debt; and

 

(c) when the debt will be liquidated.

 

W18. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of General Education:

 

(a) how many girls benefitted from the Keeping Girls in School 

initiative, countrywide, as of July, 2020;

 

(b) what the targeted number of beneficiaries was;

 

(c) which districts benefited from the initiative;

 

(d) what the initiative consists of;

 

(e) what the challenges in the implementation of the initiative are; and

 

(f) what measures the Government is taking to address the challenges.

 

 

 

 

Adopt Report of the Committee on Parastatal Bodies: That this House do adopt the Report of the Committee on Parastatal Bodies on the Special Report of the Auditor General on the Accounts of Water and Sanitation Companies for the Financial Year Ended 31st December, 2018, for the Fifth Session of the Twelfth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on 23rd April, 2021.
