NOTICE OF MOTION
The Vice President
Suspension of Standing Orders: That Standing Orders 6, 7 and 12 of the National Assembly of Zambia (Corona Virus Disease-2019) Temporary Standing Orders, 2020 and Standing Order 26 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2016, be suspended to enable the House to sit from 0900 hours until Business has been concluded on Friday, 12th February, 2021 and also to omit the Vice President’s Question Time from the Order Paper.
QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 31)
130. Mr Michelo (Bweengwa) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) whether the Government is aware that the Monze-Nico road has become impassable thereby cutting off Bweengwa Parliamentary Constituency from the rest of the country;
(b) what urgent measures will be taken to make the road motorable and restore the connectivity of Bweengwa to the rest of the country; and
(c) why the contractor abandoned the project in 2016 after tarring
only 30 out of the 50 kilometres.
QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 30)
131. Mr Simbao (Senga Hill) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) when the tarring of the Lunte-Zakaria-Senga Hill road will commence;
(b) what has caused the delay in commencing the project; and
(c) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.
132. Ms Tambatamba (Kasempa) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Welfare:
(a) whether the Government rendered any form of support to the pupils at Kasempa School for the Disabled, as of July, 2020;
(b) if so, what form of support was rendered;
(c) if no support was rendered, why; and
(d) what measures are being taken to ensure that the pupils at the School are supported.
