250. Mr A Mumba (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:

 

(a) what measures the Government is taking to prevent Mopani Copper Mines (Plc) from stopping operations and placing the Mine on care and maintenance on 31st July, 2020;

 

(b) if none, what urgent measures the Government is taking to mitigate the loss of business by contractors and suppliers to the Mine; and

 

(c) how many employees will lose employment following the decision to stop operations.
