QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 31)
167. Mr Mwiimbu (Monze Central) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government is aware that the enumerators who are collecting blood samples for purposes of HIV testing under the Zambia Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (ZAMPHIA) 2020 Survey, are being mistaken for those suspected to be collecting blood for ritual purposes, thereby causing panic among residents;
(b) if so, what urgent measures are being taken to sensitise the people about the Survey;
(c) whether the Government has any plans to suspend the Survey until the security situation normalises; and
(d) if so, when the Survey will be suspended.
QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 30)
168. Mr Chiyalika (Lufubu) - to ask the Minister of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs:
(a) where the boundary between Mwinuna and Mkubwe Chiefdoms lies;
(b) in which district Chief Mwinuna’s chiefdom is;
(c) whether it is possible for one chiefdom to cover two (2) or more:
(i) districts; and
(ii) provinces; and
(d) if so, how the development is coordinated from the national to the district level, and ultimately to the chiefdom.
169. Mr Mulunda (Siavonga) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to deploy additional medical personnel to all the health facilities in Siavonga District;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) which categories of personnel will be deployed.
170. Ms P Jere (Lumezi) - to ask the Minister of General Education:
(a) whether the Government is aware that the construction of Chanyalubwe Secondary School in Lumezi District, which is funded by the World Bank, has stalled;
(b) if so, why the project has stalled;
(c) when construction works will resume;
(d) what the total cost of the outstanding works is; and
(e) what the time frame for the completion of the remaining works is.
171. Mr Kabanda (Serenje) - to ask the Minister of Defence:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to re-introduce the following under the Zambia National Service:
(i) rural reconstruction centres; and
(ii) compulsory National Youth Service skills training for school leavers;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
172. Ms Kucheka (Zambezi West) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a bridge across the Zambezi River to connect Zambezi West Parliamentary Constituency to the rest of Zambezi District;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
(d) what the estimated time frame for the completion of the project is.
173. Mr Mwamba (Lubansenshi) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to build a modern hospital in Luwingu District; and
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
