60.  Mrs Chinyama (Kafue)   -   to ask the Minister of Agriculture:

 

(a) why the quantities in the contract awarded to Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ) to supply fertilizer, under the Farmer Input Support Programme during the 2019/2020 farming season, has been reduced from 15,000 to 10,000 metric tonnes;

 

(b) whether the Government is aware that the reduction will worsen the hardships of the NCZ workers who, as of October, 2019, had not been paid their salaries for 8 months; and

 

(c) if so, whether the Government has any plans to urgently reverse the decision.

 

 

 

 

Intervene in the Non-Payment of Salary Arrears: That this House urges the Government to intervene in the non-payment of all salary arrears to TAZARA, Zampost and Council workers.
