104 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Higher Education:

 

(a) why the Health Professions Council of Zambia directed management at the Copperbelt University (CBU) to discontinue some programmes in the School of Medicine, while the Higher Education Authority directed CBU to continue running the programmes;

(b) whether the two directives are not causing confusion in the education sector; and

(c) which institution is mandated to regulate the Schools of Medicine in the country.

 

105 Mr Mweetwa (Choma Central) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:

 

(a) why the Government has introduced road blocks, manned by the Zambia National Service officers, to impound trucks ferrying maize from Southern Province into Lusaka and escorting them to the various milling companies;

(b) whether the Government is aware that the introduction of the measure has resulted in inflated cost of trading in maize; and

(c) if so, when the road blocks will be removed.
