QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER NO. 31)
 
41 Mr Mwila (Chimwemwe) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
 
(a) what circumstances led to the shooting of two people in Chimwemwe and Buchi Townships in Kitwe District, resulting in riots by residents, on Friday, 21st and Monday, 24th September, 2018, respectively;
(b) how many people have been arrested following the two incidents;
(c) whether the riots resulted in damage to property;
(d) if so, what the value of the damaged property is; and
(e) what measures have been taken to restore law and order so as to avoid a recurrence of such incidents in future.
 
42 Mr A Mumba (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Finance:
 
(a) what factors led to the sudden depreciation of the Kwacha in September, 2018;
(b) what measures the Government is taking to stabilise the Kwacha;
(c) whether the depreciation will not result in an increase in the prices of petroleum products and other essential commodities; and
(d) what measures the Government is taking to mitigate the impact of the depreciation on the implementation of the 2018 National Budget.
 
QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER NO. 30)
 
43 Mr Lufuma (Kabompo)   - to ask the Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to expand the water reticulation system in Kabompo District;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, what measures are being taken to improve water supply in the District.
 
44 Mr Mecha (Chifunabuli)   - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct embankments and culvets in Chifunabuli Parliamentary Constituency in the following areas:
 
(i) new Mubansenshi Ward – between Chamalawa and Shipangwa;
 
(ii) new Mubansenshi Ward – between Mulonga and Shipangwa;
 
(iii) Kasaba Ward – between Kalila and Nsengaila; and
 
(iv) Kasaba Ward – between Chulamweo and Mumamba; and
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
 
 
45 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central)   - to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to establish youth skills development centres in Kalabo and other rural districts;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
