QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

365    Mr Mutelo (Lukulu West) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    how many medical personnel country-wide were dismissed for going on an illegal strike in 2013;

(b)    of the dismissed staff, how many were reinstated as of 14th February, 2014; and

(c)    whether the Government is not risking losing qualified personnel, who were trained at a great cost, to other countries where their services may be required.

366    Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    how much money the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) owed commercial banks for the purchase of maize during the 2012/2013 marketing season;

(b)    how much, in total, the FRA borrowed from commercial banks; and

(c)    how much interest accrued on the loan at (b) above, as of December, 2013.

367    Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    when the construction of livestock breeding centres in all the provinces will be completed; and

(b)    what the estimated cost of the project is.

368    Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    when the construction of Swana Kudya High School will be completed;

(b)    who the contractor is; and

(c)    what the cost of the project is.

369    Mr Mucheleka (Lubansenshi) - to ask the Minister of Youth and Sport:

(a)    why infrastructure at the Youth Skills Training Centre in Luwingu District has remained in a very poor state of repair; and

(b)    when the Centre will be rehabilitated.

370    Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    when Kanyama Livestock Breeding Centre in Mwinilunga District will be officially opened;

(b)    what the planned establishment of the Centre is;

(c)    what the full complement of the infrastructure, in terms of buildings, for the project is; and

(d)    when the benefits of the project are expected to start trickling down to the community.

371    Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a)    who funded the construction of the Mapatizya Mine Police Post;

(b)    what the contract sum for the project was; and

(c)    when the Police Post will be gazetted.
 
372    Mr I Banda ( Lumezi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing what roles the following committees play in the disbursement of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF):

(a)    the CDF Committee;

(b)    the management staff of a local Council;

(c)    the full Council; and

(d)    the District Development Coordinating Committee.

373    Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    when Mukumbi Basic School in Solwezi West Parliamentary Constituency will be upgraded to a secondary school;

(b)    what has caused the delay in upgrading the School; and

(c)    what the estimated cost of upgrading the School is.

374    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing why the Government has allowed commercial stone crushing along Mumbwa Road in places surrounded by residential properties.

W18    Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security:

(a)    how many human resource practitioners are registered with the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM), broken down as follows:

(i)    Zambians; and
(ii)    non-Zambians;

(b)    how many practitioners were employed at the following mining companies in the North-Western Province as of November, 2013:

(i)    Kansanshi;
(ii)    Lumwana; and
(iii)    Kalumbila;

(c)    how many practitioners were stationed at the following:

(i)    Cabinet Office;
(ii)    Police and Prisons Service Commission;
(iii)    Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation; and
(iv)    Anti-Corruption Commission; and

(d)    how many labour officers, country-wide, were registered with the ZIHRM.

W19    Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Defence:

(a)    how many suppliers were registered with the Ministry as of November, 2013, from the following provinces:

(i)    North-Western;
(ii)    Lusaka;
(iii)    Muchinga; and
(iv)    Northern;

(b)    how many companies, country-wide, were awarded tenders to supply goods and services from September, 2012 to November, 2013; and

(c)    how much money was paid out during the same period.
