QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

315    Ms M Miti (Vubwi) - to ask the Vice President:

(a)    when the roof of a 1 x 3 classroom block at Chigwe School in Vubwi Parliamentary Constituency, which was blown off in January, 2017, will be repaired;

(b)    what the estimated cost of the project is; and

(c)    what the time-frame for the completion of the project is.

316    Mr Ng’onga (Kaputa) - to ask the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock what plans
the Government has to develop aquaculture in Kaputa and Nsama Districts.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W3    Mr Ngulube (Kabwe Central) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    when the rehabilitation of the following health facilities in Kabwe District will commence:

(i)    Poleni Clinic; and
(ii)    Kabwe General Hispital;

(b)    what has caused the delay in rehabilitating the two health facilities; and

(c)    what the time-frame for the completion of each project is.

W4    Dr Chanda (Bwana Mkubwa) - to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development:

(a)    what youth empowerment Programmes are earmarked for implementation in Bwana Mkubwa Parliamentary Constituency in 2017; and

(b)    when implementation of the programmes will commence.

W5    Mr S Miti (Feira) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    when the Government will gazette Luangwa District Hospital; and

(b)    what has caused the delay in gazetting the Hospital.

W6    Mr Sampa (Kasama Central) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    when the outstanding allowances owed to the staff at Kasama General Hospital, in form of the following, will be paid:

(i)    repatriation;
(ii)    leave travel benefits;
(iii)    settling-in; and
(iv)    subsistence; and

(b)    when the medical consultants, who were deployed to the Hospital in October, 2016, and are drawing salaries, will report for duty.

W7    Mr Mbulakulima (Milenge) - to ask the Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to sink boreholes in Milenge District;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented;

(c)    how many boreholes are earmarked for sinking;

(d)    at which places the boreholes will be sunk; and

(e)    if there are no such plans, why.

Declaration of Threatened State of Public Emergency: That, in terms of Article 31(2) and (5) of the Constitution of Zambia, this House do approve the President’s declaration of a state of threatened public emergency made on Wednesday, 5th July, 2017 under Statutory Instrument No. 53 of 2017.
