QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

257    Mr Lufuma (Kabompo) - to ask the Minister of Gender:

(a)    what measures the Government has taken to meet Sustainable Development Goal No. 5 on gender equality and women empowerment; and

(b)    what measures are planned for in 2017 so as to increase the female gender representation to 50% in key decision-making positions.

258    Mr Mutale (Chitambo) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development when the construction of staff houses for Agricultural Camp Officers at the following camps in Chitambo District will commence:

(a)    Kasuko; and

(b)    Chipundu.

259    Mr S Tembo (Chadiza) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    when the tarring of the following roads in Eastern Province will resume:

(i)    Chipata-Chadiza-Chanida; and
(ii)    Chadiza-Katete;

(b)    what the cost of each project is;

(c)    whether Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) have been submitted by the contractors for each project and if so, how many had been submitted as of 31st January, 2017;

(d)    what the total amount of the IPCs for each project is; and

(e)    how much money had been paid against the IPCs for each project.

260    Mr S Miti (Feira) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:

(a)    when the rehabilitation of the following feeder roads in Feira Parliamentary Constituency will commence:

(i)    Kavalamanja;
(ii)    Luangwa Town-Amolo Village-Kavalamanja;
(iii)    Mphuka Turn Off-Janeiro Village;
(iv)    Mwavi Village-Mundela Village-Nyakachimba;
(v)    Mpona Turn Off-Sipopa Village; and
(vi)    Kaunga School Turn Off-Mukando Village-Chikokola Village;

(b)    what the cause of the delay in commencing the rehabilitation works is; and

(c)    what the estimated cost of the exercise is.

261    Mr C Zulu (Luangeni) - to ask the Minister of Health:
        
(a)    whether the Government approves advertising the following in the media:

(i)    claims to cure HIV/AIDS;
(ii)    claims to enlarge male sexual organs; and
(iii)    claims to enlarge hips for females;

(b)    whether the claims have been verified;

(c)    if not, why the trend of disseminating misleading information has been allowed unabated; and

(d)    what measures are being taken to ensure that the public is not subjected to misleading information, thereby endangering their lives.

262    Dr Chanda (Bwana Mkubwa) - to ask the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to undertake livestock restocking programmes in Bwana Mkubwa Parliamentary Constituency;

(b)    if so, what the plans are; and

(c)    when implementation of the plans will commence.

263    Mr Sampa (Kasama Central) - to ask the Minister of Energy:

(a)    when Phase II of the Rural Electrification Programme in Kasama Central Parliamentary Constituency will commence;

(b)    whether all the schools in the Constituency will be electrified in order to, among others, enhance the learning of Information Communication Technology subjects; and

(c)    if not, why.

264    Mr Ng’onga (Kaputa) - to ask the Minister of General Education:
        
(a)    how many teachers were transferred from Kaputa District from January, 2015 to February, 2017;

(b)    what the main reasons for the transfers are;

(c)    whether the transferred teachers have been replaced; and

(d)    if not, when they will be replaced.

265    Mr Mutale (Chitambo) - to ask the Minister of General Education:

(a)    when the roof of a 1 x 2 classroom block at Mateyo Kakumbi Primary School in Chitambo Parliamentary Constituency, which was blown off in 2011, will be repaired;

(b)    what has caused the delay in repairing the roof; and

(c)    what the total cost of the repair works is.

266    Mr Chabi (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:

(a)    when the construction of a market in Lunga District will commence;

(b)    what the cost of the project is; and

(c)    what the time-frame for the completion of the project is.
