QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

219    Ms Katuta (Chiengi) - to ask the Minister of General Education:

(a)    when desks will be procured and delivered to Lunchinda Secondary School in Chiengi District;

(b)    whether the Government is aware that primary school teachers are teaching at the school; and

(c)    if so, what measures the Government is taking to deploy trained secondary school teachers to the School.

220    Mr Mulunda (Siavonga) - to ask the Minister of Energy:

(a)    what the main objective of the Gwembe-Tonga Development Project was;

(b)    whether the Project attained its objectives before winding up its operations in 2007;

(c)    if not, whether the Government has any plans to revive the Project;

(d)    if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(e)    if there are no such plans, why.

221    Mr Nanjuwa (Mumbwa) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    when the tarring of the Mumbwa-Kasempa road will commence; and

(b)    why the rehabilitation works have not been undertaken despite the high economic value of the road.

222    Mr Mukosa (Chinsali) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to construct a bridge across Lubu River in Chinsali District to connect Cheswa Village to Sula Village;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(c)    if there are no such plans, why.

223    Mr Ng’onga (Kaputa) - to ask the Minister of Tourism and Arts:

(a)    what measures the Government has taken to develop the Northern Tourism Circuit;

(b)    what has caused the delay in developing the Tourism Circuit; and

(c)    whether the Government has any plans to allow the development and promotion of the Tourism Circuit to be implemented by the private sector.
