QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

30    Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Information and Broadcasting what the reasons for the suspension of the broadcasting licences for the following media houses after the 11th August, 2016, general elections, were:

(a)    Muvi Television;

(b)    Komboni Radio; and

(c)    Itezhi-Tezhi Radio.

31    Ms O Phiri (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Justice:
        
(a)    why the construction of the Nyimba Local Court has stalled;

(b)    when the construction works will resume;

(c)    what the time-frame for completing the project is; and

(d)    what the total cost of the project is.

32    Mr A B Malama (Nchelenge) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:

(a)    why works on the upgrading of township roads in Nchelenge District have stalled;

(b)    when the works will resume; and

(c)    what the time-frame for completing the project is.

33    Ms O Phiri (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to construct more dams and sink additional boreholes in Nyimba District, which is currently facing a critical shortage of water;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(c)    if there are no such plans, why.

34    Mr Chansa (Chimbamilonga) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a)    when the construction of a police station and staff houses in Mpulungu District will commence;

(b)    how many staff houses are earmarked for construction;

(c)    what the cause of the delay in commencing the project is; and

(d)    what the time-frame for completion of the project is,

35    Ms Mwape (Mkushi North) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    why the contract for the construction of a new District Hospital in Mkushi was terminated;

(b)    when the works will resume;

(c)    what the time-frame for the remaining works is; and

(d)    what the staff establishment for the following categories at the Hospital will be:

(i)    doctors
(ii)    nurses; and
(iii)    other support staff.

36    Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    when the following health posts in Mapatizya Parliamentary Constituency will be completed:

(i)    Kanyanga; and
(ii)    Mafumba;

(b)    who the contractor for the project is; and

(c)    why the contractor abandoned the project.

37    Mr Chansa (Chimbamilonga) - to ask the Minister of Transport and Communication:

(a)    when the works to expand the Mpulungu Harbour will commence;

(b)    what the total cost of the project is; and

(c)    what the time-frame for the completion of the project is.
