QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
22 Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the Great North Road from Kafue Turn off to Livingstone;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) whether a contractor for the project has been identified;
(d) if so, who the contractor is; and
(e) what the estimated cost of the project is.
23 Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection:
(a) whether there has been any study conducted to find out the levels of pollution due to industrialisation in the country;
(b) if so, which town or city is most affected;
(c) which river is most affected; and
(d) whether the fish found in the affected rivers is safe for human consumption.
24 Ms O Phiri (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct houses for the following security wings in Nyimba District, considering that there is a critical shortage of accommodation for the officers:
(i) Zambia Police Service;
(ii) Immigration Department; and
(iii) Zambia Correctional Services;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
25 Ms O Phiri (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:
(a) when the tarring of township roads in Nyimba District will commence;
(b) what has caused the delay in commencing the project, considering that the contractor is already on site;
(c) what the total cost of the project is; and
(d) what the time-frame for the completion of the project is.
