176 Mr Namulambe (Mpongwe) - to ask the Vice President and Minister of Development Planning:
(a) what the weather forecast for the 2015-2016 rainy season is like;
(b) what varieties of maize should be planted by farmers in view of the weather forecast; and
(c) whether the Meteorological Department has appropriate equipment to provide reliable weather forecasts.
177 Mr Namulambe (Mpongwe) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security:
(a) whether the Government is aware of plans by some mining companies to lay off workers;
(b) if so, what measures the Government is taking to avert the impending job losses; and
(c) whether the Government has any plans to nationalise mines whose owners intend to lay off workers.
178 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) how many road traffic accidents occurred from January to August, 2015, countrywide;
(b) what the major causes of the accidents were;
(c) how many accidents were caused by tyre bursts; and
(d) what measures the Government is taking to ensure that imported tyres are of good quality.
179 Mr Pande (Kasempa) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) when the road between Mutanda and Kasempa Boma in the North-Western Province, will be rehabilitated;
(b) what has caused the delay in rehabilitating the road;
(c) which contractor has been contracted to work on the road; and
(d) what the cost of the exercise is.
