QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
26 Mr Musonda (Kapiri Mposhi) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:
(a) when the construction works on the proposed Lusaka-Kapiri Mposhi dual carriageway will commence;
(b) what the time-frame for the completion of the project is;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
(d) who the contractor is.
27 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) what the number of dentists at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) was, as of June, 2015;
(b) what the recommended staff establishment for dentists at the UTH is;
(c) whether the Government sponsors any students to study dentistry; and
(d) if so, how many are sponsored annually.
28 Mr Kazabu (Nkana) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:
(a) who the legal owners of the former Astra Cinemas piece of land in the Kitwe Central Business District are;
(b) why the plot has remained undeveloped for over fifteen years; and
(c) when the plot will be developed.
29 Mr Pande (Kasempa) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) when construction of the Provincial Police Administration Office Block in the North-Western Province will commence;
(b) who the contractor for the project is;
(c) what the total cost of the project is; and
(d) what the time-frame for the project is.
30 Dr E C Lungu (Chama South) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:
(a) when the grading of the Chasato-Chikwa road in Chama District will be completed; and
(b) what has caused the delay in completing the exercise.
31 Mr Antonio (Kaoma Central) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:
(a) who the contractor engaged to undertake the street lighting project in Kaoma Township is;
(b) whether the Government is aware of the poor quality of works on the project; and
(c) if so, what measures the Government has taken to redress the situation.
32 Ms Miti (Vubwi) - to ask the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development:
(a) when the electrification of Vubwi District by the Rural Electrification Authority will be completed;
(b) who the contractor for the project is; and
(c) what the total cost of the project is.
33 Mr Chipungu (Rufunsa) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:
(a) when Rufunsa Girls Technical School will be electrified;
(b) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
(c) what the time-frame for the project is.
34 Mr Namulambe (Mpongwe) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:
(a) whether the country produces enough beans to meet the demand in the country;
(b) whether the country has the capacity to produce the national requirements of canned beans;
(c) if so, why the Government has allowed importation of canned beans; and
(d) if the country has no capacity, what the deficiencies are.
35 Mr I Banda (Lumezi) - to ask the Minister of Community Development, Mother and Child Health:
(a) how many people benefitted from the Social Cash Transfer Scheme from September, 2011 to December, 2014 in the following Constituencies:
(i) Chasefu;
(ii) Lumezi; and
(iii) Lundazi; and
(b) if none, when the programme will be extended to the Constituencies above.
