216    Mr Ng’onga (Kaputa) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:

(a)    when the rehabilitation of the Chocha-Kaleulu Aerodrome in Kaputa District will commence to enable safe landing of small aeroplanes; and

(b)    whether the local community will be considered for employment when the rehabilitation of the facility is completed.

217    Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    when the construction of Kanyama High School in Mwinilunga Parliamentary Constituency will be completed and opened to the public;

(b)    what the total sum of the contract is; and

(c)    how much money had been paid to the contractor as of August, 2014.

Death of His Excellency the President, Mr Michael Chilufya Sata:  That this House do place on record its profound regret at the untimely death of His Excellency Mr Michael Chilufya Sata, President of the Republic of Zambia, together with its appreciation of his distinguished and patriotic service to this country and the people of Zambia and that the deepest sympathies and condolences of the National Assembly be conveyed to his family.

Approval of Transfer of Portfolio and Statutory Functions:  That in terms of Article 44(2)(e) of the Constitution of Zambia, this House do approve the transfer of portfolio and statutory functions of the Government Ministries and Departments recommended by the President as set out in the Appendix hereto.
