QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

556    Mr Lufuma (Kabompo West) - to ask the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development what the progress on the construction of mini-hydro power stations in the following areas is:

(a)    Chikata Rapids on the Kabompo River in Kabompo District; and

(b)    Chanda in Chavuma District.

557    Mr Mutale (Kwacha) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    what plans the Government has to improve water and sanitation facilities which are in a very poor state in most schools in Kwacha Parliamentary Constituency; and

(b)    when the plans will be implemented.

558    Mr Mutelo (Lukulu West) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    how many schools in Mitete District have the following grades:

(i)    grades 1 – 7;
(ii)    grades 1 – 9;
(iii)    grades 8 – 12; and
(iv)    grades 10 – 12; and

(b)    when all the basic schools country-wide will be phased out.

559    Mr Sichula (Nakonde) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:

(a)    when the construction of Chunga Bridge, in Nakonde Parliamentary Constituency, will commence;

(b)    what the cost of the project is; and

(c)    what the time-frame for completing the project is.

560    Mr Mbewe (Chadiza) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to start announcing the floor price of the following crops prior to the planting season:

(i)    maize;
(ii)    cotton;
(iii)    groundnuts; and
(iv)    sunflower;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(c)    if there are no such plans, why.
