QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

81 Mr Moonde - to ask the Vice-President:

(a) what measures has the Government taken to ensure that there is food security in the country in view of the expected deficit arising from the drought; and

(b) whether the Government is reconsidering its position on the exportation of maize to other countries in view of the problem at (a) above.

82 Mr Sejani - to ask the Vice-President how much money has been spent on
the Constitutional Review Commission from inception to-date.

83 Dr Kalumba - to ask the Vice-President:

(a) how many Zambian Military Personnel died in the freedom struggle as a consequence of military action from 1964 to 1990;

(b) how many civilians were killed by enemy forces in the same period;

(c) how many freedom fighters from the following countries are known to have been killed by enemy forces on Zambian territory:

(i) Angola; (ii) Namibia;
(iii) South Africa; (iv) Zimbabwe; and
(v) Mozambique; and

(d) whether these victims have been honoured in any way or form.

84 Dr Kalumba - to ask the Vice-President:

(a) how much money did Zambia spend in supporting the following liberation movements from 1964 to 1990:

(i) ZAPU (+ZAPU-PF) - Zimbabwe;
(ii) ZANU (+ZANU-PF) - Zimbabwe;
(iii) Frelimo - Mozambique;
(iv) ANC - South Africa;
(v) SWAPO - Namibia;
(vi) MPLA - Angola; and
(vii) UNITA - Angola;

(b) how much did Zambia receive from the OAU directly to support these movements; and

(c) what percentage of the money in (a) above was directly from the Zambia tax payers.

85 Mr Sikota - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing whether
there are any plans to replace or rehabilitate the fly-over bridge along Akapelwa Road and the Maramba/Libuyu foot bridge in Livingstone.
