130 Mrs Musokotwane - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives when the Government will post veterinary officers to Chiefs Moomba’s and Nyawa’s areas.

131 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when all basic schools in the country will be upgraded to high school status; and

(b) how much money is required to achieve the action in (a).

132 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry what incentives have been put in place to influence the establishment of import substitution industries.

133 Mr Mukanga - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs when the last distribution of uniforms to police officers on the Copperbelt was undertaken.

134 Mr Chikoti - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development what are the results of oil explorations in North-Western Province.

135 Mrs Musokotwane - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many teachers are expected to graduate from teachers’ training colleges in 2007 and 2008;

(b) how many of these will be employed in the same years; and

(c) how much will it cost to employ all the teachers in the same years.

136 Mr Sikota - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) what are the ratios of potential students per school in the country, province by province, for the following:

(i) lower basic schools;
(ii) middle basic schools; and
(iii) upper basic schools; and{mospagebreak}

(b) what are the ratios of potential students per school in Livingstone District.

137 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:

(a) why the Road Sector Investment Programme (ROADSIP) has worked in favour of urban roads as compared to other roads; and

(b) what measures have been taken to correct this anomaly in ROADSIP II.

138 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives what measures have been taken by the Government to promote fish farming and restocking of fish in rivers and lakes.

139 Mr Chikoti - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply when the Kabompo/Mwinilunga road will be graded.

140 Mr Chikoti - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:

(a) how many kilometres were tarred on the M8 road from January, 2002 to December, 2005; and

(b) when is the tarring of the road expected to reach Kabompo District.

141 Mrs Musokotwane - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport whether there are plans to upgrade Mulobezi Railway line to make it more user friendly and, if so, when will such plans be implemented.

142 Ms Nawakwi - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:

(a) when Livingstone Airport was rehabilitated;

(b) how much was spent on the rehabilitation of the Airport;

(c) which organisation funded the rehabilitation works; and

(d) in what year was the project signed and who negotiated for the project.

143 Ms Nawakwi - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:

(a) when were the negotiations for the construction of the Sun Hotel in Livingstone completed;

(b) when construction of the hotel started; and

(c) who negotiated and signed for the transfer of the
Musi-o-tunya Inter-Continental Hotel to Sun International and when was the agreement signed.

144 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry what benefits has Zambia recorded from the 2nd African Fine Coffee Conference which took place in Zambia in 2005.
