QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

188 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:

(a) what plans are in place to develop export markets for energy in the next five years up to 2011;

(b) which countries are targeted; and

(c) what are the volumes and values.

189 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development what are the projected expansion programmes to increase the energy capacity at ZESCO up to 2011.

190 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:

(a) what were the earnings of ZESCO from 1990 to 2005;

(b) what corresponding units were sold in the same period; and

(c) what was the cost of producing the units in the same period.

191 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning what measures have been taken to ensure that pension schemes respond to rising rates of working women, part-time and temporary workers and self-employed workers.

192 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development what has come out of the partnership between the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) and the National Association of Utility Regulation Commission (NARUC) of the USA.

193 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development how the funding in the sum of US$175,000 from USAID was spent by the Energy Regulation Board.

194 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development when ZESCO will establish an off peak tariff that will enable industry an opportunity to use more power at night and shift the load away from day use.

195 Mr Kalifungwa - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development how much was owed to ZESCO by Government institutions from 1996 to 2005, year by year.
