QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

161 Mr P P Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Gender and Women in Development how many women were employed in the following institutions compared to their male counterparts as of 30th December, 2008:

(i) Zambia Prison Services;
(ii) Department of Immigration
(iii) Zambia Revenue Authority, Customs and Excise Division; and
(iv) Zambia Police Force.

162 Dr Machungwa (Luapula) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a) how many prohibited immigrants deported from Zambia were allowed back into the country from 2002 to 2006; and

(b) who these individuals were and why they were allowed back into the country.

163 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:

(a) how much money Luanshya Copper Mines Plc realised from the sale of winding engines at 18 and 28 shafts; and

(b) how the money realised at (a) above was utilised.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W2 Mrs E M Banda (Chililabombwe) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:

(a) how many women’s clubs are under the Ministry in Chililabombwe Parliamentary Constituency; and

(b) what assistance the Government has rendered to the clubs at (a) above from 2006 to 2008, year by year.

W3 Mrs E M Banda (Chililabombwe) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture  and Co-operatives:

(a) how many co-operative societies are in Chililabombwe Parliamentary Constituency, name by name;

(b) how many of the co-operative societies at (a) above received fertilizer and maize seed during the 2008/2009 farming season; and

(c) what the quantities of fertilizer and maize seed received by the co-operative societies at (b) above were.

W4 Mr Nyirenda (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National  Planning:

(a) how much revenue the Government realised from the following taxes from January, 2003 to December, 2005, year by year:

(i) PAYE;
(ii) Withholding tax;
(iii) Presumptive tax;
(iv) Company tax;
(v) VAT; and
(vi) Customs and Excise Duty;

(b) how much revenue the Government received from the non-tax measures in the period above; and

(c) how much money the Government spent as recurrent and capital expenditures in the same period.

W5 Mrs R M Musokotwane (Katombola) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives:

(a) when the Food Reserve Agency was created;

(b) how much money has been allocated to the Agency from inception to-date, year by year;

(c) how much produce the Agency has purchased from farmers since its creation, year by year; and

(d) how much money has been raised by the Agency from the sale of the farm produce from the time it was created to-date, year by year.

W6 Mr Chazangwe (Choma Central) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:

(a) how many gazetted roads are in Choma Parliamentary Constituency, name by name; and

(b) when the roads at (a) above will be graded and improved.

The Excess Expenditure Appropriation (2006) - Bill to approve the excess expenditure of moneys aggregating nine billion, three hundred and fifty nine million, one hundred and fifty one thousand, nine hundred and forty seven kwacha required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ended on 31st December, 2006.         (N.A.B. 6/2009)

The Supplementary Appropriation (2007) - Bill to confirm the supplementary expenditure of moneys aggregating five hundred and forty eight billion, two hundred and fifteen million, six hundred and twenty one thousand, seven hundred and one kwacha required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ended on 31st December, 2007.     (N.A.B. 7/2009)
