QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

164 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:

(a) what the total indebtedness of the Tanzania Zambia Railways Authority (TAZARA) to various institutions is;

(b) how the debt at (a) was accumulated;

(c) how much profit TAZARA made from 2006 to 2008, year by year;

(d) how much was declared to the Zambian Government in dividends from 2006 to 2008, year by year; and

(e) what the future of TAZARA is.

165 Mr Chisanga (Mkushi South) - to ask the Minister of Education when Old Mkushi Basic School in Mkushi South Parliamentary Constituency will be upgraded to a high school.

166 Mr C K Banda (Chasefu) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development when the dams at the following places in Chasefu Parliamentary Constituency will be rehabilitated:

  (i) Kaimbonye;
  (ii) Chaboli; and
  (iii) Emusa (Luwerezi).

167 Dr Machungwa (Luapula) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply how much money was allocated and how much was actually released to each province for roads through the Roads Development Agency in 2008.

168 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Health whether there are any plans to supply power generators to hospitals and health centres country-wide to mitigate the adverse effects of continued power outages on the health institutions.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W7 Mr Chazangwe (Choma Central) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many pupils were expelled from boarding schools from 2005 to 2008 for causing disturbances relating to poor school diet, province by province; and

(b) what measures the Ministry has instituted to resolve the above  problem.

W8 Mr Chimbaka (Bahati) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services how many women groups in Bahati Parliamentary Constituency received hammer mills from the Ministry from 2001 to 2006, name by name.

W9 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a) which provinces received budgetary allocations for the rehabilitation of police houses in 2006 and 2007, district by district; and

(b) when the Ministry will employ its own artisans to carry out routine maintenance works so as to reduce the expenditure currently being incurred on repairs to buildings and motor vehicles.

W10 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Vice-President and Minister of Justice:

(a) what the number of local court buildings constructed between 2002 and 2007 in the country is, province by province, and what their names are; and

(b) when the local court building at Fube in Chilubi Parliamentary Constituency will be constructed.

W11 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a) how many police stations were built from 1964 to 2001, province by province; and

(b) of the number of police stations at (a) above, how many have been rehabilitated, name by name.
