QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

331 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development whether the Minister has any plans to compel the Football Association of Zambia and all football clubs in the country to recruit players from the rural areas where there is abundant potential soccer talent.

332 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) whether there are any plans to construct a high school in Chief Nabwalya’s area since the area is usually cut off from the only high school in the district due to floods in the rainy season; and

(b) how many middle basic schools are in Mfuwe Parliamentary Constituency, chiefdom by chiefdom.

333 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Lands how much revenue was collected through the sale of plots in Kaoma District in 2007.

334 Mr E C Mwansa (Chifunabuli) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives what measures the Government has taken  to avert the effects of the impending maize shortage in the country following the floods which devastated the country during the 2007/2008 rainy season.

335 Mr E C Mwansa (Chifunabuli) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning what measures the Government has taken in the last one year to capture revenue from the informal sector.

336 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services when the Ministry will create a fund for community radio stations similar to the Cable Satelite Technologies (Casat) television scheme that introduced television coverage to most districts in Zambia.

337 Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga East) - to ask the Minister of Health when the dilapidated structure at Tom Ilunga Rural Health Centre in Mwinilunga East Parliamentary Constituency, which was built in the 1960s, will be replaced by a modern building structure.

338 Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga East) - to ask the Minister of Health when the Ministry will recognise Luwi Mission Hospital in Mwinilunga East Parliamentary Constituency so that it is provided with the necessary support in line with the Government’s policy of private/public partnership.

339 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Justice:

(a) how many criminal cases have been pending in the courts of law since 2003; and

  (b) what the reasons for the delay are.

340 Mr Mwangala (Nalolo) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a) what measures have been taken to improve the staffing levels of medical doctors, nurses, and general workers in health institutions in the Western Province, in general,  and Senanga District, in  particular; and

(b) whether there are any plans to post a resident doctor to Muoyo Rural Health Centre in Nalolo Parliamentary Constituency.
