QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
50 Mr P P Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) how many new passports were issued from 2008 to-date, year by year;
(b) how many people were issued with diplomatic passports during the same period; and
(c) how many passport officers were dismissed for corruption related cases.
51 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources whether the Ministry has any plans of developing game and nature reserves as a way of attracting more tourists and generating income for the country.
52 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:
(a) what the future of the Tanzania Zambia Pipelines is;
(b) how much money was accrued by the company as profit from 2006 to 2009; and
(c) how much money, in dividends, was paid to the Government in the period above.
53 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) how much money is required to resurface the Luanshya-Masangano road;
(b) how much money the Government paid the contractor for the same work in 2007; and
(c) whether the Government was satisfied with the quality of work done then and, if not, what measures were taken against the contractor.
54 Mr Lumba (Solwezi Central) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:
(a) when the Government will implement the proposed redesign of Solwezi town;
(b) what the estimated cost of the redesign is; and
(c) what the major features of the new town will be.
