QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

80 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Defence:

(a) what the future of Zambia-China Mulungushi Textiles (ZCMT) in Kabwe is;

(b) what the delay in re-opening the Company has been;

(c) what the total indebtedness of the Company is; and

(d) how many employees were retained by ZCMT as of July, 2010.

81 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development:

(a) what the unemployment levels amongst the youth, country-wide, was as of July, 2010; and

(b) what measures the Government has taken to reduce youth unemployment in the country.

82 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Defence:

(a) how much money the Government has released to the Ministry towards the construction of Zambia National Service houses from its inception;

(b) how many houses have been built; and

(c) who the contractors are.

83 Mr P P Chanda (Kankoyo) -  to ask the Minister of Home Affairs how many male and female prison officers were killed while on duty from 2008 to-date.

84 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development why the Football Association of Zambia prefers foreign coaches for the national soccer team.

85 Colonel Chanda (Kanyama)  - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development what the benefits to Zambia were from the hosting of the FIFA 2010 World Cup by the Republic of South Africa.

86 Colonel Chanda (Kanyama) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:

(a) whether the procedures and requirements for the construction of a filling station were followed in respect of the filling station at the Lumumba-Kafue roads junction; and

(b) to whom the piece of land upon which the filling station was constructed belongs.

87 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:

(a) when the Government will drill boreholes in the following villages:

(i) Chibwe;   
(ii) Mukunto;
(iii) Mimbulu;   
(iv) Chitobo;
(v) Chipowe  
(vi) Kane; and
(vii) Kasuti; and

(b) how much money is required to complete the above project.

88 Colonel Chanda (Kanyama)  - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs whether the Government has any plans to upgrade the Linda Police Post to a level of a police station in view of the increased crime rate in the area.

89 Colonel Chanda (Kanyama) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:

(a) when the Mimosa Centre for the Blind and Handicapped was last rehabilitated; and

(b) whether the Ministry legally owns the land upon which the Centre is constructed and, if not, who the legal owners are.

 

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W1 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:

(a) how many passengers used railway transport in the period 2005 to 2010, year by year; and

(b) what was the total volume of cargo transported by rail in the same period.

W2 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:

(a) what the major achievements in the implementation of the Fifth National Development Plan were;

(b) when the Sixth National Development Plan will be ready; and

(c) what achievements are expected in the Sixth National Development Plan.
