QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
90 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry:
(a) how many industries manufacturing new products on the Zambian market were introduced from 2006 to 2009, year by year; and
(b) how many jobs were created as a result of the introduction of new industries.
91 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport what plans the Government has, regarding the improvement of rail transport in the country.
92 Mr P P Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning which border post is the highest revenue collector.
93 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry what measures have been taken to encourage the expeditious resumption of operations at Kapiri Glass Factory.
94 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry what the growth rate in the manufacturing sector in the following industries was from 2006 to 2009, year by year:
(a) textile;
(b) paper; and
(c) steel.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W3 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
(a) how many banks are currently operating in the country;
(b) what their names are; and
(c) whether there are any other banks intending to start operating in the country.
W4 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:
(a) how many houses were sold to sitting tenants by the following councils:
(i) Lusaka;
(ii) Ndola;
(iii) Kitwe;
(iv) Livingstone;
(v) Chingola;
(vi) Mufulira; and
(vii) Luanshya;
(b) how much each council raised from the sale of the houses;
(c) how many new houses have been built from the sold houses; and
(d) how the money was utilised.
