QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
158 Mr Beene (Itezhi-tezhi) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:
(a) when the Government will electrify the Masasabi Resettlement Scheme in Itezhi-tezhi Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) how much money will be spent on the electrification project; and
(c) what has caused the delay in extending electricity supply to the resettlement scheme.
159 Mr Kamondo (Mufumbwe) - to ask the Minister of Education when a boarding high school will be built in Mufumbwe Parliamentary Constituency and what the estimated cost is.
160 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) why the University of Zambia management has not paid terminal benefits to its former employees from 2006 to-date; and
(b) how much money the University owes its former employees.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W7 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
(a) what the poverty levels in the nine (9) provinces in the country have been from 2005 to 2010;
(b) what plans the Government has to elevate the poorest provinces; and
(c) which province is the least developed.
W8 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) what the total number of new Mother-To-Child Transmission (MTCT) cases was recorded in 2008 and 2009;
(b) what the total number of mothers who tested for HIV from 2006 to 2009 was, year by year;
(c) whether the HIV prevalence rate is on the increase in Zambia; and
(d) what measures the Government has taken to reduce the rates.
W9 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
(a) how much money the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) collected from January, 2009 to July, 2010 in the form of the following taxes:
(i) Pay-as-you-earn;
(ii) Withholding tax;
(iii) Presumptive tax;
(iv) Customs and excise duty;
(v) Company tax;
(vi) Variable profit tax; and
(vii) Value added tax; and
(b) from the above taxes, which ones did ZRA collect more or less than the projected levels.
