QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

427 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:

(a) when the following roads in Kanchibiya Parliamentary Constituency will be rehabilitated:

(i) Chalabesa/Kabinga;
(ii) Kopa/Ncubula; and
(iii) T2/Chiundaponde;

(b) what the cost of rehabilitating each road above, is; and

(c) what the time-frame for completing each road, is.

428 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Lands why foreigners are allocated huge tracts of land compared to Zambians.

429 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma)  - to ask the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services:

 (a) how much money, in the form of television licence fees, has been collected by the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation from inception to-date; and

 (b) how this money has been utilised.

430 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:

(a) when the Chinese procured road equipment stationed in the Southern Province will be moved to Gwembe District to work on the roads there;

(b) what has caused the delay in grading the roads in the District; and

(c) what machinery for road maintenance is available in the Southern Province.

431 Mr C Mulenga (Chinsali) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:

(a) when the Government will construct a bridge on Chambeshi  River at Mbesuma;

(b) how much the project will cost; and

(c) what has delayed construction of the bridge.

432 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security:

 (a) how many labour officers were trained both within and outside Zambia from 2007 to 2010; and

 (b) how many districts country-wide had labour officers as of March, 2011.

433 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services:

 (a) when the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) television signal will be extended to reach all parts of Zambia; and

 (b) whether the Government has any plans to waive the television licence fee in areas that do not receive the ZNBC television signal.

434 Col G Chanda (Kanyama) - to ask the Minister of Lands:

(a) what the procedure for acquiring land for commercial use on either side of Kafue road from the Kafue Round About to Chawama Turn-Off is; and

(b) why authority to allocate the land above has shifted from the Ministry of Lands to the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.

435 Mr Mwenya (Nkana) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security:

(a) how many residential flats and office accommodation are contained in the National Pension Scheme Authority’s Provident House in Kitwe;

(b) how many families occupied the flats as of April, 2011;

(c) how many offices were occupied during the same period;
and

(d) why the property has remained in a dilapidated state for a long time.

436 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:

(a) what the financial position of ZCCM-IH was as of December,  2010; and

 (b) how much money the Government realised in dividends in 2009 and 2010.
