QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
156 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:
(a) why the Government entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with African Development Bank for a loan facility to support vulnerable families under the Food Crisis Response Programme for 2009/2010;
(b) how much money was given to the Government by African Development Bank for the programme; and
(c) what the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding are.
157 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry:
(a) who the shareholders of MKP Trust Hospital in Lusaka were as of 30th June, 2009;
(b) what the nationalities of the current shareholders are; and
(c) what special facilities exist at this hospital.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W14 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National
Planning:
(a) how much turn over was recorded by the following banks
in 2006, 2007 and 2008:
(i) Barclays;
(ii) Finance;
(iii) Standard Chartered;
(iv) Stanbic; and
(v) Zambia National Commercial Bank;
(b) how much net profit the banks made; and
(c) how much was paid as tax to the Government.
W15 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals
Development:
(a) how much turn over was recorded by Non-Ferrous Metal Mining Company Limited (NFC) in 2006, 2007 and 2008;
(b) how much was the net profit in each of the years at (a) above;
(c) of the profit at (b), how much was externalised;
(d) how much was spent on salaries; and
(e) how much was paid as tax in each of the years at (a) above
to the Government.
W16 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry:
(a) what the foreign direct investment in-flows in Zambia had been from 2007 to 2009, year by year;
(b) whether there has been any decline in the foreign direct investments and, if so, what the reasons for the decline
have been;
(c) which areas of foreign direct investments have been affected by the decline; and
(d) what is the expected foreign direct investments in the next five years in Zambia.
