QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
187 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) what the current condition and status of the Kariba Dam Bridge in Siavonga is;
(b) what the life span of the above bridge is; and
(c) whether there are any plans of constructing a new bridge at the same location.
188 Major Chibamba (Shiwang’andu) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when the rehabilitation of road No. RD39 (T2 – D56), popularly known as Chachacha road, in Shiwang’andu Parliamentary Constituency, will start.
189 Col G Chanda (Kanyama) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) when the following roads in Kanyama Parliamentary Constituency were last rehabilitated:
(i) D162 – Blue Boar – Linda Compound Road;
(ii) Makeni Road; and
(iii) Los Angeles up to Simson Winnie Hotel in Makeni; and
(b) what the cost of rehabilitating the roads above is.
190 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Education when the Government will construct schools in the following villages in Mfuwe Parliamentary Constituency:
(a) Kaluba in Chief Mukungule;
(b) Chilima in Chief Nabwalya; and
(c) Mwenda in Chief Mpumba.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W24 Mr Hamududu (Bweengwa) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) what major constraints the Road Development Agency (RDA) faces in carrying out its mandate;
(b) what the number of engineers that have resigned from RDA from 2005 to-date is, year by year;
(c) what the reasons for their resignations have been; and
(d) what measures the Ministry has taken to enable the RDA carry out its mandate more effectively.
W25 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:
(a) what the total number of passengers who used rail transport country-wide from 2001 to 2008 was, year by year;
(b) what the total volume of cargo transported by the following modes of transport from 2005 to 2008 was, year by year:
(i) air;
(ii) inland waterways; and
(iii) rail.
W26 Mr C K Banda (Chasefu) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:
(a) how many schools of driving have been licenced in the following towns and cities from 2008 to-date:
(i) Chipata;
(ii) Kitwe;
(iii) Livingstone;
(iv) Lusaka; and
(v) Ndola;
(b) where the offices of the schools of driving at (a) are; and
(c) how many trainers are employed by each of the schools of driving and what their qualifications are.
