QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
468 Mr Munaile (Malole) - to ask the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services:
(a) when employees at the Zambia Printing Company were last awarded a salary increment;
(b) how much the lowest paid employee receives; and
(c) which union represents the employees at (a) for wage negotiations.
469 Mrs E M Banda (Chililabombwe) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) what the total establishment for nurses country-wide is; and
(b) of the total establishment, how many positions are actually filled.
470 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs why the Keezwa Police Post in Nangoma Parliamentary Constituency is not operational.
471 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
(a) what Zambia’s current debt with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is; and
(b) how much the Government has paid towards servicing the debt to the IMF from 2006 to-date.
472 Mr Mwango (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:
(a) how many tonnes of copper ore were exported by mining companies in 2008 and 2009;
(b) how much money was raised from the export of the copper; and
(c) how much the Government collected in taxes from the exports.
473 Mr C K Banda (Chasefu) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) when the new police post built at Emusa Sub-Centre in 2006 in Chasefu Parliamentary Constituency will be opened to the public; and
(b) when the Ministry will send more police officers to the police post to join the only officer stationed there.
474 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Development when the Government will start empowering women small scale farmers with dairy animals.
475 Mr Chazangwe (Choma Central) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry what measures the Government has taken to reduce the high cost of doing business in Zambia so that local industries are not jeopardised through the flooding of cheap imported products under the Free Trade Regional Integration markets.
476 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) when the construction of the new hostels at the Great East Road Campus of the University of Zambia will be completed;
(b) how much money will be spent on the construction of the hostels on completion;
(c) what are the terms of the contract signed with the contractor engaged to construct the hostels; and
(d) how many students will be accommodated in the hostels on completion of the project.
477 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Education when Mongu Teachers’ Training College will start offering Diploma courses.
