QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

2 Mr Lubinda - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many schools in Zambia participate in the Taonga School of the Air; and

(b) how much does it cost to air one programme on a monthly basis, including designing and recording.

3 Mr Lubinda - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing how many Council and Government operated public libraries were operating in Zambia by the end of 2005 and which are these.

4 Mr Mwangala - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a) what measures has the Ministry taken to stop the rampant livestock thefts by armed cattle rustlers in the Nalolo Parliamentary Constituency; and

(b) whether the Government has any intentions to compensate farmers who lost their cattle due to inadequate patrols by the law enforcement agents in the area.

5 Mr Mwangala - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs when a radio communication system will be installed at Sinungu Police Post in the Nalolo Parliamentary Constituency.

6 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Health how far has the Government gone in implementing free medical services in the rural areas.

7 Mr Kasongo - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development why fuel prices in Zambia are higher than those prevailing in most neighbouring countries.

Report of the Parliamentary Select Committee Appointed to Scrutinise the Appointment of Mr Mumba Malila to serve as Attorney-General of the Republic of Zambia:  That this House do adopt the Report of the Select Committee, for the First Session of the Tenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on 15th November, 2006, to scrutinise the appointment of Mr Mumba Malila to serve as Attorney-General of the Republic of Zambia.
