668 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning what measures the Government has taken to ensure that the low monthly pensions being paid to retirees and widows by the Government Pension Schemes and the Mukuba Pension Scheme are increased to meet the hard economic situation prevailing in the nation: (under consideration):  (The Minister of Finance and National Planning).

669 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport whether there are any plans to transform the Nayuma Harbour at Limulunga, in Western Province, into a stadium for the benefit of tourists during Kuomboka ceremony.

670 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply whether the Government has any plans to tar all roads in urban areas leading to hospitals and clinics in order to cater for emergency cases.

671 Dr Chishimba (Kasama Central) - to ask the Minister of Justice whether there are any plans to urgently amend the Constitution of Zambia to accommodate the 51 per cent requirement for a Presidential candidate to win an election.

672 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing how much money was released as grants to Mwense District Council in 2005 and 2006.

673 Mr Nyirenda (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs whether the Government has any plans to build a rehabilitation centre for inmates in Kamfinsa Parliamentary Constituency.

674 Mr Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs what the requirements for the issuance of work permits are.

675 Dr Chishimba (Kasama Central) - to ask the Minister of Health what measures the Government has taken to enforce the Public Health Act in order to protect the public from the following:

(i) buying expired drugs and other pharmaceutical products; and
(ii) contagious diseases due to poor hygiene in restaurants, markets and drinking places.

676 Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply when resurfacing of the Kalulushi/Sabina road will commence.

677 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs when the Government will acquire a plot for a new police station in Chelstone.

678 Mr Chimbaka (Bahati) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning what the value of foreign direct investment inflows to Zambia is, in Zambian Kwacha, from 2001 to 2006, year by year.

679 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Health how many people at the Mansa General Hospital serve as:

(i) full-time employees; and
(ii) part-time employees.

680 Mr Kapeya (Mpika) -  to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when a modern bus station will be constructed in Mpika.

681 Mr Mwangala (Nalolo) - to ask the Minister of Education whether there are plans to turn Holy Cross High School in Western Province into a boarding school for girls.

682 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:

(a) how many Government vehicles were auctioned from 2002 to-date;

(b) how much money was raised from the auction sale; and

(c) how the money was utilised.

683 Ms Kapata (Mandevu) - to ask the Minister of Lands how many women have been allocated land under the women empowerment policy, province by province.

684 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport when the two harbours in Chilubi and Samfya Districts, which have been out of order for more than 15 years, will be repaired.

685 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Health when houses for health workers at Musalango Health Centre in Chipili Parliamentary Constituency will be constructed.

686 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply whether the Kazungula Pontoons are insured and, if so, with which insurance company and at what cost.

687 Dr Njobvu (Milanzi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:

(a) how many Chiefs’ palaces were renovated in the country from 2001 to 2006; and

(b) what are the names of the palaces at (a) above and how much was spent on each of them.

688 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning whether the 1997 and 2000 ex-Ramcoz employees are owed any money by the receivers and, if so, how much.

689 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning when the Bank of Zambia will introduce the following measures:

(i) reduce the Kwacha currency from the four digit level of “thousands” to two digits of “tens”; and
(ii) facilitate the reintroduction of the “Ngwee” units for easy trading, convenience and quick transaction.

690 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a) whether the following departments are under one management:

(i) Chainama College;
(ii) Chainama Hospital;
(iii) Chainama Malaria Research Centre;
(iv) Chainama Prison;
(v) Chainama School of Disability; and
(vi) Chainama Clinic; and

(b) if not, how much grant does each department receive per month.

691 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development whether the Government has plans to employ an expatriate coach through the Football Association of Zambia.

692 Mr Nyirenda (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Health whether the Government will supplement the community efforts in Kitwe to construct the Ndeke Village Mini-Hospital.

693 Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when water for sanitation and general use will be supplied to Chibuluma and Zambia Compound at Chambishi.

694 Mr Chimbaka (Bahati) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development which foreign countries imported copper from Zambia and how many tonnes did each country import from 2002 to 2006.

695 Mr Mwangala (Nalolo) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a) whether the Government has plans to upgrade Liliachi Rural Health Centre to a district hospital; and

(b) whether there are plans to turn the former Boma Clinic in Senanga District to a health post in order to decongest the district hospital.

696 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply how much money the Government has so far spent to tar the Kasama-Luwingu road.

697 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Lands:

(a) how much ground rent arrears are owed to the Government by district councils country-wide; and

(b) whether the Government has any plans to cancel the debt and, if not, why.

698 Mr Mbewe (Chadiza) - to ask the Minister of Health when the Ministry will decentralise the renewal of practising licences for doctors, nurses, pharmacy technologists and others.

699 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when the Government will construct reasonable and habitable houses for Chiefs Matipa and Chiwanangala in Chilubi District.

700 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development what the share holding structure of the Chambishi Smelter Company is.

701 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning how much of the US$33.5 million to be realised from the sale of Mulyashi Mine will be used for infrastructure development in Luanshya such as the resurfacing of the 12km Roan/Mpatamatu road.

702  Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources how many compartments of the Forest Department and Zaffico have done the following silviculture operations:

(i) pruning;
(ii) singling; and
(iii) weeding.
