QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

940 Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources:

(a) whether the courses offered to the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) game scouts include handling of firearms; and

(b) why ZAWA game scouts dress in assorted uniforms.

941 Mr Silavwe (Nakonde) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing whether the Government has any plans to recapitalise the water utility company in Nakonde District so as to improve the water and sanitation services in the district and to cope with the ever growing demand for water as the district expands.

942 Mr Singombe (Dundumwezi) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives:

(a) how many dip tanks are currently in Dundumwezi Parliamentary Constituency, ward by ward;

(b) how many of the dip tanks above are not operational; and

(c) whether there are plans to increase the number of dip tanks in order to reduce tick related diseases.

943 Mr Imenda (Lukulu East) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when the Government will release funds to upgrade the squatter compounds at Lukulu Boma following an overall survey of the township.

944 Mr Munaile (Malole) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs when the prosecution unit under the Zambia Police Force will be transferred to the Ministry of Justice under the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

945 Mr Misapa (Mporokoso) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development whether there are copper and iron ore deposits in Mporokoso District and, if so, when mining of these minerals will commence.

946 Mr Mwangala (Nalolo) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply whether there are any plans to re-introduce road camps to facilitate road maintenance in the following areas in Nalolo Parliamentary Constituency:

(i) Kaunga Lueti;
(ii) Nambwae;
(iii) Sinunga; and
(iv) Nasilimwe.

947 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:

(a) whether the Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (ZANACO) workers have been paid their benefits for the period the bank was owned by the Government; and

(b) what the total assets of ZANACO were before the bank was taken over by the new management.

948 Mrs E M Banda (Chililabombwe) - to ask the Minister of Education what measures the Government has taken to improve the existing infrastructure in schools in Chililabombwe District which were built in the 1960s when the population was small.

949 Dr Njobvu (Milanzi) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:

(a) when electrification of Kafumbwe High School in Milanzi Parliamentary Constituency will be completed; and

(b) when electrification of the following schools in the above Constituency will start:

(i) Kagoro Basic School; and
(ii) Katiula Basic School.
