QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
1096 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs whether the Government has any intention to change the current National Registration Card and, if so, whether Zambians will be required to pay any fees.
1097 Mr Imasiku (Liuwa) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources when the Government will construct a road around the Liuwa National Park linking the Park to the bridge across the Luanginga River at Kalabo Harbour.
1098 Mr C Mulenga (Chinsali) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:
(a) how much money the Lusaka City Council has spent on the cleaners who sweep the streets of Lusaka from 2004 to 2005;
(b) how many of the cleaners at (a) above are casual workers and how many are employed on a permanent basis; and
(c) what the average monthly wage for each cleaner is.
1099 Mr Sikazwe (Chimbamilonga) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs when the Government will resolve the boundary dispute between Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo regarding the area between Cape Lipungu on Lake Tanganyika and Pweto in the Shaba/Katanga Province which borders Chiengi and Kaputa Districts.
1100 Mr Muyanda (Sinazongwe) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development why the Government stopped the construction of dams for the people of Sinazongwe following their displacement from the lower Zambezi to the upper dry and rocky areas such as Siameja, Nalubuyu, Dengeza and Kafwambila.
1101 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services how many literacy classes are currently functioning in Luampa and Mangango Parliamentary Constituencies.
1102 Mr Imasiku (Liuwa) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether there are any plans to upgrade the Lewanika Nursing School in the Western Province to a nursing school for registered nurses; and
(b) when the Ministry will open a second nursing school in the Western Province since there are a number of existing health institutions, such as Yuka Mission Hospital, which can be turned into a nursing school.
1103 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Education whether the Ministry has any plans to reintroduce young farmers clubs in schools in order to enhance food security and encourage young people take up farming as a career.
1104 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources why the Forestry Department demarcated only 750 hectares of land in the Muva Hill area in Roan Parliamentary Constituency as opposed to the 3750 hectares that the President announced to the Chundamabunga Muva Land Committee at a rally held at the Nkulumashiba High School ground.
1105 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply:
(a) how much was spent on rehabilitating the Mokambo to Chembe road from 2002 to 2006; and
(b) which contractors were awarded the contracts.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W22 Mr Imasiku (Liuwa) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:
(a) how many business ventures were provided to the needy children from 2001 todate, district by district; and
(b) whether there are any disparities between the rural and urban communities in the award of these business ventures.
W23 Mr Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport:
(a) at which points have traffic lights been installed so far in the country, town by town and district by district; and
(b) whether the Government has any plans to install new traffic lights to cater for the ever increasing number of vehicles on the roads and, if so, when.
