QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

1106 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Health what measures have been taken to reduce the frequency of strikes by health personnel in the country.

1107 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when houses for teachers at Luampa High School in Luampa Parliamentary Constituency will be built; and

(b) when additional classrooms at the above school will be built.

1108 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Education:

 (a) when desks were last supplied to schools in Mfuwe Parliamentary Constituency; and

 (b) when the next supply of desks will be delivered.

1109 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs when the Ministry will open the police post at Katibunga Mission High School in Mfuwe Parliamentary Constituency.

1110 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Defence how much money the Zambian Government has spent on Zambian soldiers on peace-keeping missions abroad from January, 2002 to-date.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W24 Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development  what are the tangible results of the Youth Development Fund, district by district.

W25 Mr Chongo (Mwense) - to ask the Minister of Education:

 (a) what grades are covered under the free education policy;
 
 (b) what the objectives of this policy are;

 (c) how much was released to Government schools which offer free education in the country from 2004 to 2006, year by year; and
 
 (d) how much of this money was used to procure the following requisites for pupils in the period above:

(i) exercise books;
(ii) text books; and
(iii) laboratory equipment and chemicals; and

(e) what have been the major successes of the free education policy.

Report of the Parliamentary Select Committee:  That this House do adopt the Report of the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to scrutinize the Presidential appointments of Mrs Pixie Kasonde Yangailo and Mr Palan Mulonda as Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, respectively, of the Human Rights Commission, for the First Session of the Tenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on 23rd November, 2007.

Report of the Public Accounts Committee:  That this House do adopt the Report of the Public Accounts Committee, on the Report of the Auditor-General for 2005 on the Accounts of Parastatal Bodies, for the First Session of the Tenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on 26th November, 2007.
