QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

65    Mr Mutelo (Lukulu West) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a)    what measures the Government has taken to arrest criminals, commonly known as caravinas, who have been killing people and thus causing great insecurity in Lukulu West Parliamentary Constituency;

(b)    whether the Government has any plans to build a police post in the Constituency in order to improve the security situation and, if so, when the police post will be built;

(c)    whether the Government is aware that some schools in Lukulu West Parliamentary Constituency have been deserted due to insecurity caused by the caravinas; and

(d)    what measures have been taken to enable the teachers return to their schools.

66    Mr Mutelo (Lukulu West) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science and Vocational Training when the roof of a 1 x 3 classroom block at Nangoma School in Lukulu West Parliamentary Constituency which was blown off during a thunderstorm in November, 2011, will be repaired.

67    Mr D Mumba (Chama North) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science and Vocational Training:

(a)    how many Trust Schools were owned by the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines at the time of its privatisation;
(b)    of the schools above, how many were sold without following laid down procedures;
(c)    what the way forward for such schools is; and
(d)    of the schools at (b), how many had politicians serving as members of the school boards.

68    Mr Chishimba (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Defence:

(a)    how much money the Government will spend on the construction of houses at Chindwin Barracks  in Kabwe;
(b)    what the total number of houses to be constructed is; and
(c)    who the contractor for the project is.

69    Mr Chishimba (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs when the Government will dispatch auditors to Canada to audit the books of account at the Zambian High Commission.

70    Mr Taima (Solwezi East) - to ask the Minister of Lands, Energy and Water Development when the Government will connect the Mushindamo-Kipushi Border area in Solwezi East Parliamentary Constituency to the national electricity grid in order to accelerate development in the area.

71    Mr Njeulu (Sinjembela) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a)    when the construction of the Shangombo District Hospital will be completed; and
(b)    when the Hospital will be opened to the public.

72    Njeulu (Sinjembela) - to ask the Minister of Health when the construction of Keyana Rural Health Centre in Shangombo District, which was abandoned in 2007, will resume.

73    Mr Sililo (Mulobezi) - to ask the Minister of Health when a mortuary will be constructed at the Sichili Mission Hospital.

74    Mr M B Mwale (Malambo) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock whether the Government has immediate plans to construct dams in the following wards in Mambwe District in view of increased livestock population:

(a)    Mphomwa;
(b)    Nyakatokoli; and
(c)    Kasamanda.

75    Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication when the Government will construct a post office in Manyama area in Solwezi West Parliamentary Constituency.

76    Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs whether any of the recalled Zambians serving in missions abroad are facing disciplinary action related to misuse of public finances and, if so, how many.

77    Mr Kampyongo (Shiwang’andu) - to ask the Minister of Lands, Energy and Water Development what benefits will accrue to the people of Shiwang’andu Parliamentary Constituency from the ZESCO hydropower generating project which is under construction in the area.

78    Mr Lufuma (Kabompo West) - to ask the Minister of Justice whether the Government is considering to have the London Judgment involving former President Chiluba and others registered in the High Court of Zambia and, if so, when the registration process will start.

79    Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Justice:

(a)    how many students enrolled at the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education from January 2006 to November, 2011;

(b)    of the students at (a), how many passed the examinations:
(i)    on the first attempt; and
(ii)    on subsequent attempts; and

(c)    how many students did not complete the course, and why.

80    Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Justice:

(a)    how many districts country-wide had no Subordinate Court magistrates as of November, 2011;
(b)    how many Senior Resident Magistrates the country had as at the date above; and
(c)    when the recruitment of magistrates last took place.

81    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Local Government, Housing, Early Education and Environmental Protection:

(a)    whether the beef sold at the Lusaka City Market (Soweto) is inspected by the Lusaka City Council;
(b)    if not, when the inspections will commence to ensure that meat from animals which die of corridor and other diseases is not sold and consumed by unsuspecting members of the public; and
(c)    what measures the Council has taken to ensure that the beef traded at the market is free from corridor and other diseases.

82    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Local Government, Housing, Early Education and Environmental Protection what measures the Lusaka City Council has taken to improve on the drainage system especially on Lumumba and Chachacha Roads.

83    Ms Sayifwanda (Zambezi East) - to ask the Minister of Local Government, Housing, Early Education and Environmental Protection whether the Government has any plans to redesign Solwezi town and, if so, when the programme to redesign the town will commence.

84    Mr Chishimba (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a)    how many heads and deputy heads of Zambian Missions abroad the country had, as of 30th September, 2011;
(b)    of the number at (a), how many were recalled as of 30th November, 2011; and
(c)    what measures the Government has taken to ensure that Zambians serving in missions abroad are not political party cadres.
