QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
178 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) how much money was spent on the construction of the following border posts:
(i) Kipushi in North-Western Province; and
(ii) Nakonde in Northern Province;
(b) how many border posts were budgeted for construction in 2009; and
(c) how many have since been completed and, what their names are.
179 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Health why the Government has been failing to provide adequate food to patients in public hospitals.
180 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) when more nurses will be sent to Nangoma Mission Hospital in Nangoma Parliamentary Constituency; and
(b) when the Government will provide adequate blankets to Nangoma and other hospitals, country-wide.
181 Mr Sililo (Mulobezi) - to ask the Vice President:
(a) whether the Government releases any money to Mulobezi Parliamentary Constituency for purposes of holding celebrations for the following:
(i) Farmers’ day;
(ii) Youth day;
(iii) Labour day; and
(iv) Womens’ day; and
(b) if so, how much money was released in 2011 for the purposes at (a) and which authority, at Constituency level, was responsible for accounting for the funds.
182 Ms Sayifwanda (Zambezi East) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:
(a) when rehabilitation works on the road connecting Western and North-Western Provinces from Lukulu-Watopa to Zambezi via the Mpidi-Chitokoloki road will commence; and
(b) whether the road above will be tarred.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W16 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) how many foreign nationals were arrested for illegal entry into Zambia between 1st January, 2010 and 20th November, 2011;
(b) what the nationalities of those arrested are;
(c) in the period at (a) above, which border entry point recorded the highest number of illegal entries;
(d) why some border entry points are porous; and
(e) which entry point recorded the highest number of entries in 2010.
W17 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Vice President why the following projects
were not implemented in the Northern Province despite funds being released in 2011:
(a) construction in Chilubi District of:
(i) Chibiliti Embankments;
(ii) Kamusenga Embankments;
(iii) Maela Embankments;
(iv) a maize storage shed at Mofu; and
(v) a police post at Matipa;
(b) construction of the bridge at Chamfubu in Luwingu District; and
(c) construction in Mungwi District of:
(i) storage shed at Munyele-Kapita; and
(ii) embankment and crossing point at Bulambe.
