QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

466    Mr Njeulu (Sinjembela) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs and
Tourism when the Government will start cropping wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos and elephants in Shangombo District following an increase in the number of deaths of people and livestock and, the destruction of crops by hippos and elephants.

467    Mr Njeulu (Sinjembela) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science,
Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    when the Government will construct a secondary school in Shangombo District;

(b)    when the Government will construct staff houses for the Office of the District Education Board Secretary’s in the District; and

(c)    whether the Government is considering converting some community schools in the District into public schools.

468    Mr Kapyanga (Kabwe Central) - to ask the Minister of Finance and
National Planning:

(a)    when the General Pharmaceuticals Company of Kabwe was privatised;

(b)    whether all the former workers have been paid their terminal benefits;

(c)    if not, when the former workers will be paid their benefits; and

(d)    whether the Company’s houses were sold and, if so, to whom.

469    Mr S Chungu (Luanshya) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science,
Vocational Training and Early Education why pit latrines are being constructed at newly built schools in urban townships which have sewerage lines within close proximity.

470    Mr Antonio (Kaoma Central) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works,
Supply and Communication when the Government will tar the following roads in Kaoma township:

(a)    Graveyard;

(b)    Church; and

(c)    Mulamba Old Hospital.

471    Mr Chilangwa (Kawambwa) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and
Livestock:

(a)    when the Luena Farm Block project in Kawambwa District will be operational;

(b)    what the time-frames for different stages of development are;

(c)    how much money the project will require to make it operational; and

(d)    what has caused the delay in making the project operational.

472    Mr Kalaba (Bahati) - to ask the Minister of Health how many health
posts the Ministry will build in Bahati Parliamentary Constituency in 2012.

473    Dr Kazonga (Vubwi) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works,
Supply and Communication:

(a)    whether the mobile phone communication towers have any dangerous effects on human life and the environment;

(b)    if so, what the dangers are; and

(c)    what measures have been taken to reduce the negative impact.

474    Dr Kazonga (Vubwi) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational
Training and Early Education when the Government will construct teachers’ houses at the following schools in Vubwi Parliamentary Constituency:

(a)    Tafeladziko;

(b)    Songeya;

(c)    Kalemba;

(d)    Mwangazi;

(e)    Mkumbudzi;

(f)    Kapiri-Mphika;

(g)    Kabvumo;

(h)    Champhanda; and

(i)    Chankhandwe.

475    Dr Kazonga (Vubwi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and
Housing when the Government will clear the weeds from the Lundazi Dam particularly between the Lundazi Bridge and the Castle Hotel.

476    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing when a modern market will be constructed at Buseko in Lusaka.

477    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science,
Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to relocate Choombwa Primary School in Nangoma Parliamentary Constituency to a place where water is easily accessible; and

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented.

478    Mr Sichula (Nakonde) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply
and Communication:

(a)    when the routine maintenance works on the Great North Road, particularly between Chinsali and Nakonde Districts, will start;

(b)    what the estimated cost of the work is; and

(c)    how long the maintenance project will take.

479    Mrs Mazoka (Pemba) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to upgrade Moyo Rural Health Centre in Pemba to a mini-hospital level; and

(b)    when qualified medical personnel will be deployed at the Health Centre which currently has only one nurse attending to a population of about 13,000 people.

480    Mrs Mazoka (Pemba) - to ask the Minister of Health:

(a)    when the construction of the Demu Rural Health Centre in Pemba will be completed; and

(b)    what the estimated cost of the project is.

481    Mr Sing’ombe (Dundumwezi) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works,
Supply and Communication:

(a)    how much money was allocated to the Rural Roads Unit for rehabilitation of roads in Kalomo District from 2009 to 2011;

(b)    of the total allocation, how much was disbursed to Dundumwezi Parliamentary Constituency; and

(c)    how many kilometres of the road network were rehabilitated in Dundumwezi Parliamentary Constituency.

 

482    Mr Chitotela (Pambashe) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply
and Communication:

(a)    when a bridge on Luena River in Pambashe Parliamentary Constituency will be constructed; and

(b)    what the estimated cost of the project is.

483    Mr Bwalya (Lupososhi) - to ask the Minister of Community Development,
Mother and Child Health how many shelters for victims of Gender-Based Violence have been established by the Government in accordance with the provisions of the Anti-Gender Based Violence Act.

484    Mr Mufalali (Senanga) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science,
Vocational Training and Early Education when the Government will rebuild classroom blocks at the following basic schools in Senanga Parliamentary Constituency which were constructed in the 1930s:

(a)    Sikumbi;

(b)    Sibukali; and

(c)    Songa.

485    Mr Mutelo (Lukulu West) - to ask the Minister of Health when health posts
will be constructed at the following areas in Lukulu West Parliamentary Constituency:

(a)    Chinonwe;

(b)    Washishi;

(c)    Mbangweta;

(d)    Luhume;

(e)    Lutembwe; and

(f)    Mbao.

 

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W32    Mr Bwalya (Lupososhi) - to ask the Minister of Community Development,
Mother and Child Health:

(a)    how many Government skills training centres there were country-wide as of 31st March, 2012, province by province; and

(b)    whether the Government has plans to construct a skills training centre in Lupososhi Parliamentary Constituency and, if so, when the construction will commence.

W33    Mr Mufalali (Senanga) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science,
Vocational Training and Early Education:

(a)    what the cut-off points for entry into grades 8 and 10 were from 1991 to 2012, province by province;

(b)    if the cut-off points varied, what the basis for the variation was; and

(c)    how many secondary schools had fully fledged laboratories in the period above, province by province.
