303 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) how many students were awarded loans and scholarships by the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board, from 2022 to 2025, year by year;
(b) from the number above, which three (3) provinces and districts had the highest number of students awarded the loans and scholarships, year by year; and
(c) whether there are any plans to decentralise the selection of beneficiaries to the district level.
304 Mr C Kang’ombe (Kamfinsa) - to ask the Minister ofLocal Government and Rural Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a road from Ndeke to Chamboli, through Mulenga Compound in Kamfinsa Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project, is; and
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
305 Mr Mabenga (Mulobezi) - to ask the Minister of Green Economy and Environment:
(a) what measures the Government is taking to prevent illegal harvesting of timber in Mulobezi Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) whether the Government has any plans to replant trees in the
Constituency;
(c) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
306 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:
(a) whether the Government is aware that there is a shortage of cassava stem cuttings for planting in Kalabo District;
(b) if so, what plans the Government has put in place to ensure availability of the stem cuttings, especially the early maturing varieties; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
307 Ms Chonya (Kafue) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to upgrade Kafue Town Council to a municipality;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) what the criteria for granting a town council, municipal status, are.
308 Mr Siachisumo (Lufwanyama) - to ask the Minister of Green Economy and Environment:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to sell houses, under the Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) in Lufwanyama District, to sitting tenants;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
309 Mr M Zulu (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) when the Government will rehabilitate the Great East Road, which is in a deplorable state, from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport Turn-Off to Luangwa Bridge;
(b) what the estimated cost of the project, is; and
(c) what the estimated time-frame for the completion of the project, is.
