The Minister of Green Economy and Environment – On the 30th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP-30) held in Belem, Brazil, from 10th to 21st November, 2025.
6. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
117. Mr Hlazo (Chilanga) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a dual carriageway on Mungwi Road, from “70/70” road intersection to Mondengwa area in Chilanga District in order to decongest traffic;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
118. Mr Kandafula (Serenje) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
(a) when the Government will resume the construction of Mbaswa Dam in Serenje Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) at what percentage of completion the project was, as of August, 2025;
(c) what the cause of the delay in completing the project is;
(d) what the cost of the outstanding works, is; and
(e) when the project will be completed.
119. Mr Kapyanga (Mpika) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to upgrade, to bituminous standard, the following township roads in Mpika District:
(i) Musakanya - Kombe Drive;
(ii) Kalolo - Market Road;
(iii) Old Zanaco - Boma Road;
(iv) Lake Oil - Musakanya Road;
(v) Market - Mpika Boys Road;
(vi) Eco - Tazara Road;
(vii) Kamwanya roads; and
(viii) Chitulika roads;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
