The Minister of Green Economy and Environment  -  On the Status of the Comprehensive Assessment of the Sino Metals Pollution Incident in Kalulushi District.
 
7. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
 
30. Dr Andeleki (Katombola)  -  to ask the Vice-President:
 
(a) how many former Ministers, who had overstayed in office after the dissolution of Parliament in 2016, and were ordered by the Constitutional Court, to refund the money they earned, had paid back the money as of July, 2025;
 
(b) how many former Ministers had not paid back the money, as of the date above;
 
(c) how much money, in total, was owed by the former Ministers at (b); and
 
(d) what measures the Government is taking to recover the unpaid amount.
 
31. Mr Chanda (Kanchibiya)  -  to ask the Minister of Education:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware that most of the newly recruited teachers in Kanchibiya District come from other parts of the country, to the disadvantage of local applicants; and
 
(b) if so, what measures are being taken to give priority to local applicants.
 
32. Mr J Chibuye (Roan)  -  to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:
 
(a) how many mine accidents were recorded, countrywide, from 2022 to 2024, year by year;
 
(b) how many casualties were recorded, arising from the accidents above;
 
(c) what the major causes of the accidents were; and 
 
(d) what measures are being taken to address the recurrence of mine accidents.
 
33. Ms Nakaponda (Isoka)  -  to ask the Minister of Health:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to procure beds and other furniture for the following health facilities in Isoka District:
 
(i) Isoka District Hospital;
(ii) Chizongolo Rural Health Post;
(iii) Nazareth Rural Health Post;
(iv) Mulongo Rural Health Post;
(v) Londamaka Rural Health Post; 
(vi) Lualizi Rural Health Post Maternity Annex; 
(vii) Nachisungu Rural Health Post Maternity Annex; 
(viii) Mwaiseni Rural Health Post;
(ix) Prisons Rural Health Post;
(x) Longwe Rural Health Post; and
(xi) Mpalakata Rural Health Post;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
34. Dr Andeleki (Katombola)  -  to ask the Minister of Defence:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to re-introduce the National Service Programme for secondary school leavers, countrywide;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
 
(c) whether the programme will be compulsory; and
 
(d) what the estimated annual cost of the programme is.
 
35. Mr E Banda (Muchinga)  -  to ask the Minister of Energy:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to electrify the following facilities in Muchinga Parliamentary Constituency:
 
(i) Masase Primary School; and 
(ii) Masase Rural Health Centre;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and 
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why. 
 
36. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:
 
(a) what major mineral deposits are found in Zambia;
 
(b) which minerals above are currently being mined;
 
(c) how many mining companies were operating in Zambia, as of July, 2025;
 
(d) what minerals the companies at (c) were mining;
 
(e) whether the Government has any plans to nationalise all the mines in Zambia; and
 
(f) if there are no such plans, why.
 
37. Mr S Banda (Petauke Central) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to conduct an assessment of dams in Petauke District;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
 
(c) if the assessment was already done, what the findings were; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
 
38. Mr E Banda (Muchinga) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware of the damage being caused   to road infrastructure by overladen trucks countrywide; and
 
(b) if so, what measures are being taken to ensure that road users adhere to allowable tonnage.
