6. QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 82)
 
324. Mr Mabenga (Mulobezi)  -  to ask the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware that about 10,000 people are currently being evicted from a 402,000 hectares piece of traditional land in Mulobezi Ward in Mulobezi Parliamentary Constituency by a foreign investor trading in timber;
 
(b) whether the consent of the Barotse Royal Establishment was obtained before the Title Deed was issued to the investor; 
 
(c) if not, whether the Government will cancel the Title Deed;
 
(d) whether the Government will compensate the people once they are evicted;
 
(e) whether there is land available to resettle the people who may be evicted from the said land; and 
 
(f) what will happen to the infrastructure in the area, such as Government schools, hospital, police post, railway line, market and churches.
 
 
7. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
 
325. Mr J Daka (Chadiza)  -  to ask the Minister of Education:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct the following infrastructure in schools in Chadiza District:
 
(i) science laboratories; and
(ii) home economics units;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
326. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Green Economy and Environment:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to recruit forest guard officers in order to enhance the conservation of forests, countrywide;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; 
 
(c) how many officers are earmarked for recruitment; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
 
327. Mr J Daka (Chadiza)  -  to ask the Minister of Tourism:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to refurbish the old Chadiza District Administration Office Block, which is a national heritage site;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
 
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.

Adopt Report of the Committee on Government Assurances:  That this House adopts the Report of the Committee on Government Assurances, for the Fourth Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on Monday, 16th June, 2025.
