Jacaranda School Receives State of the Art Lab

Jacaranda Combined School has received a newly constructed laboratory designed to accommodate 45 learners per class. This is aimed at enhancing science education through improved facilities and resources.

The laboratory built at a total cost of K1,000,113.98, was funded through the 2023 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for Lusaka Central Constituency.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, on 13th June, 2024, Lusaka Central Member of Parliament and Minister of Justice, Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, said that the newly built facility reflects the Government’s commitment to providing quality education.

He also noted that the laboratory will not only foster scientific innovation and critical thinking among learners but also equip them with essential problem-solving skills for the future.

Meanwhile, Lusaka Mayor Her Worship, Ms. Chilando Chitangala said that the laboratory will encourage students to pursue jobs in STEM fields such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics which are critical to the advancement and development of the country.

The Mayor urged the school to take care of the facility, as it is a foundation upon which innovation and skills will be built for a better future for our nation.

Lusaka District Education Board Secretary Representative, Mrs. Esnart Mwanza, praised the Government's dedication to empowering the next generation and offering high-quality education.
