CDF Boosts Infrastructure Development in Rufunsa
Rufunsa Town Council has acquired a brand-new low-bed truck, valued at K2,861,082.00, under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) allocation.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, held on 23rd of December, 2025, Rufunsa Member of Parliament and Lusaka Province Minister, Hon. Sheal Mulyata said the purchase of the low-bed truck is an important move towards facilitating transportation of earth-moving machines, materials and personnel to the most remote areas of Rufunsa District.
She said the acquisition of the low-bed truck demonstrates Rufunsa Town Council’s commitment to harnessing the increased CDF allocation to drive meaningful development in the region.
“As the council continues to prioritize infrastructure development, the community can expect improved services, increased economic opportunities, and a better standard of living,” she said.
Hon. Mulyata further stated that the investment by the Council aligns well with President Hakainde Hichilema’s emphasis of taking development to the local people.
