MPASA BRIDGE SUCCESSFULLY REHABILITATED
Mpasa Bridge in Mpika District has been successfully rehabilitated, bringing much-needed relief to residents and motorists who depend on it for transportation and economic activities.
Speaking at the official commissioning, Mambilima Member of Parliament, Hon. Jean Chisenga said the rehabilitation of the bridge will greatly improve the movement of residents especially the school going children who had to cross the river every day.
And Mpika District Commissioner, Mr David Siame praised the efforts of the Government and all stakeholders involved in the project.
"This bridge is a critical link for farmers, traders, and students. Its rehabilitation will greatly improve the movement of goods and services, ultimately contributing to the district’s development," the commissioner stated.
The rehabilitation of Mpasa Bridge is part of a larger infrastructure improvement using the 2022 CDF disaster component, to ensure safer and more reliable transport networks in the community.
