The Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security
The Closed-Circuit Television Public Protection – Bill to provide for the functions of the National Public Security Command Centre; constitute the National Public Security Command Committee and provide for its functions; provide for the regulation of closed-circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television; provide for an effective system for the use of closed-circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television; provide for the protection of data collected through closed-circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television; provide for security surveillance for the protection of members of the public; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing. The Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry
The Border Management and Trade Facilitation – Bill to provide for co-ordinated border management and control for the efficient movement and clearance of goods; give effect to the provisions of agreements relating to one-stop border posts; provide for simplified trading arrangements with adjoining States relating to the movement and clearance of goods; establish control zones and provide for powers of officers in control zones; provide for the development, management and maintenance of border infrastructure; authorise the application of the laws of the Republic and the laws of an adjoining State in a one-stop border post; repeal and replace the Border Management and Trade Facilitation Act, 2018; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing. The Minister of Community Development and Social Services
The Non-Governmental Organisations – Bill to continue the existence of the office of the Registrar of non-governmental organisations established under the repealed Act and rename it as the department of non-governmental organisations; provide for the functions of the department of the non-governmental organisations; provide for the registration, licensing and co-ordination of non-governmental organisations; continue the existence of the Zambia Congress of Non-Governmental Organisations and redefine its functions; continue the existence of the Council of Non-Governmental Organisations and redefine its functions; provide for the self regulation of non-governmental organisations; enhance the transparency, accountability and performance of non-governmental organisations; repeal and replace the Non-Governmental Organisations’ Act, 2009; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing. 6. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
265. Mr Mushanga (Bwacha) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a hospital to cater for the following areas in Bwacha Parliamentary Constituency:
(i) Kalwelwe;
(ii) Munyama; and
(iii) Kasavasa;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
266. Dr Andeleki (Katombola) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) why the construction of the Zimba-Nyawa-Kalomo road has
stalled;
(b) what the outstanding works, in percentage terms, were as of December, 2024;
(c) when the project will resume; and
(d) when the project will be completed.
