SCHOOLS IN SHIWANG`ANDU CONSTITUENCY RECEIVE CLASSROOM BLOCKS AND DESKS
Shiwang`andu District Commissioner Ms. Maureen Bwembya on 15th April 2024, commissioned 1x4 Classroom Block at Shiwang`andu Secondary School, 1X3 Classroom Block at Kasashi Primary School and a 1x3 Classroom Block at Chumbu Primary School and also 3,500 desks procured under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) all valued at seven million and twenty-four thousand kwacha (K7,024,000.00).
Ms. Bwemya said that the classroom blocks would help to reduce the pupil classroom ratio and the desks would ensure that no child sits on the floor as the President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema directed.
She further appealed to the people who have not yet benefited from the programs not to relent as the Government was doing everything possible to take development everywhere and leave no one behind.
Ms. Bwembya further urged the Town Council Staff to continue monitoring the projects especially that they had a CDF monitoring vehicle in place.
