Five Health Facilities in Nalikwanda Equipped With Modern Medical Supplies

Five health facilities in Mongu’s Nalikwanda Constituency have received modern equipment worth K875,000, procured through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

According to Mongu Municipal Council Assistant Public Relations Manager, Abigail Sitenge, said that the beneficiaries include Nandinga Health Post, Kaulu, Lukulo, Simulima and Imalyo Clinic. Ms. Sitenge said that these facilities, built using CDF, remained non-operational due to a lack of equipment.

“However, with the new equipment received, the health facilities would now be able to provide essential medical services, including maternal care, emergency treatment and routine check-ups. This development is expected to improve healthcare access for residents, particularly those in remote areas who previously had to travel long distances for medical attention,” She said

The Nalikwanda CDF committee allocated funds for essential items such as delivery beds, medicine cabinets, and examination couches. With the equipment now in place, all five facilities are fully operational and stocked with medicines.
